TEED-3035: Integration of Telecommunications in the Classroom

One of the first assignments we had to complete for this class was creating avatars of ourselves as teachers. We had to make sure that the avatars looked like us, while also wearing clothes that were appropriate for teachers. I used Bitmoji to create my avatars and had a lot of fun in the process. I had never done something like this before, but I believe they ended up looking great in the end. I was also able to include them as part of another project, which you can also find below.

One of the major assignments we had to complete for this course was to create an educational website. Personally, it took me about a month to complete it, including the planning stage. I chose to create my educational website for an eighth grade English class, focusing on three specific skills: determining the main idea of a literary text, identifying character traits, and writing literary texts. I did my best to make sure the website and class materials were as creative and engaging as possible for the target audience. In addition, I followed the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines to the best of my ability to make sure the website was as inclusive as possible. As someone who is not very tech-savvy, this website was rather complicated for me to develop, but my effort paid off in the end, since the final product looks beautiful and serves its intended purpose.
