For the course EDPE-4005: Seminar and Curriculum at the Secondary Level, we were assigned to create a lesson plan for a secondary level grade. I chose eighth grade for mine and used the official curricular documents provided by the Department of Education of Puerto Rico to select a topic that eighth graders are expected to learn about in English class. The topic I chose was Introduction to the Persuasive Letter, which is part of Unit 3: Persuasive Letter.

     In addition to the official curricular documents provided by the Department of Education of Puerto Rico, I also used a few external resources to create the materials for my lesson plan. First, I created a presentation to introduce the students to the topic. Then, I created a handout which the students would use to put their newfound knowledge into practice.

     I believe this is one of the best lesson plans I created during my bachelor's degree, evidenced by the fact that I received a perfect score after the professor graded it. When you compare this lesson plan to others I created in the past during my first and second year in college, it is easy to see how much my knowledge and skills have grown and improved in this area.
